The Ranch
Tucked into the beautiful hardwoods of East Texas, among the Pines, Dogwoods, Cedars, and Oaks, lies the Double S Ranch. The Ranch has been a family owned working horse ranch for the past 30 years.
It served as the families private retreat for several years. They came to the Ranch to ride horses, explore the woods, and reconnect with nature and loved ones.
In an effort to keep the natural wonder of the property while also making it more accessible they carefully carved out over 15 miles of trails to drive, bike, hike, and explore via horseback.
The property has also served as a safe haven for a large amount of wildlife that have not been hunted on the property for the past 30 plus years.
Their deep love for the property naturally led to a desire for the family to share it with others. So a little over 15 years ago they began developing Deer Lake Cabins Ranch Resort.
Over the years they have purchased and built 15 lake homes and cabins that they make available as vacation accommodations so other folks can comfortably escape, reconnect, and enjoy nature as they have.
Each of the cabins are intricately cared for, fully furnished, and beautifully decorated. They have developed a Ranch team that is dedicated to providing you with personal, first class treatment and service.
Whether you’re relaxing in your Cabin or you are out exploring the ranch, the staff work hard to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable.
The Ranch is home to 2 larger lakes, the Deer and Dream Lakes, in addition to several other smaller ponds. Each is stocked with Florida Bass, Perch, Crappie, Brim, and Catfish.
